Anthony "The Bullet" Bonsante (26-8-3, 15 KO's) is set to return to the ring tomorrow night in Great Falls, VA, at George Mason University. Bonsante has lost five out of his last six, but against great competition, most recently Allan Green. If the former Contender alum gets by Larry Brothers (6-19-3 4 KO's) this weekend, he hopes to set up an all Minnesota battle with Matt Vanda. See what "The #1 Daddy," Bonsante had to say about that possible match up, Allan Green's potential, and how much longer he plans to fight.

Robert Jones: You're fight is just a couple days away. How was training camp?

Anthony Bonsante: Training camp went very well. We're at 161. It's a six round fight against Larry Brothers from Washington D.C. We hear a tough SOB, so, we're coming to fight.

RJ: What else do you know about your opponent, Larry Brothers?

AB: We don't know a whole lot about him. He's about my size, which is good, because the last fight I had the guy was about seven inches taller than I was. No, we don't really know a lot about Larry Brothers except he comes to fight, he's strong, and that he puts a lot of pressure on people.

RJ: You've lost five out of your last six but against very solid competition. How anxious are you to get back into the win column?

AB: Well, I'm very anxious to get back in the win column. Two out of those last ones should have been wins, both of them against Brinkley. (Jesse Brinkley, also from season one of "The Contender") So, yeah, I'm very anxious to get back in the win column and get my career back on track and hopefully go after a title again.

RJ: You most recently fought super prospect Allan Green. How far do you think he can make it?

AB: I think he'll actually contend for a world title in the next year or so. I know he had options for Jeff Lacy, but I don't think they were offering him enough money. Allan has got a lot of talent. He's strong, he's fast and, you know, he's got the height. He's got every physical advantage a boxer could ever want. He's trained very well, he's managed very well; he's got all the characteristics to be a world champion.

RJ: Did you get a chance to check out Season 2 of "The Contender" If so, what did you think?

AB: I actually didn't get a chance to watch that many shows because I'm still working nights. When Grady Brewer and Steve Forbes were in the finals I thought Forbes would win, but I was hoping Grady would win because he's got a little more heart and determination and he's my age. So, one for the old guys.

RJ: One of the things you are most known for from fans of the first season of the show was your "#1 Daddy," hat. Will you be wearing that hat into the ring Saturday night?

AB: Yes I will.

RJ: How are your kids?

AB: Actually, they'll be out here for the fight, my kids and my ex-wife. When I was on the show I was divorced, but now I'm back together with her. My wife and my two kids will be out here for the fight. They are flying out tomorrow.

RJ: You're 35 years old and have fought great competition. How much longer do you want to do this?

AB: You know what? I've been asked that a couple of times. As long as I can compete with these guys and keep coming out victorious, I'll keep fighting. As long as my trainer says I'm not getting hit that much and I can still compete and I've got the desire and determination, I'm just going to keep fighting people.

RJ: You'll probably have a pretty solid fan base this Saturday because there will be a large contingency of Contender fans because of Jimmy Lange fighting in the main event. Is this an added inspiration to you?

AB: Very much so. I was here one other time when Jimmy Lange fought Joey Gilbert, and people were asking me why I wasn't on the card. They wanted to feature Jimmy because it was a title fight. This time they asked me to work with Jimmy, so I've very excited to come out here.

RJ: Any possible opponents if you get by Brothers this weekend?

AB: Oh yeah, oh yeah. We've got a fight scheduled November 17th in Minneapolis. Then, we're supposed to come back here in December, then back in Minnesota in January. There's a kid out there named Matt "The Pretender" Vanda. So, we're trying to get him.

RJ: I think that's about it from my end. Is there anything else you would like to add? I know you are busy, but I hope you get a chance to check out the interview on FightNightNews.com.

AB: Ok, thank you very much for giving me an opportunity.
