"Fast" Fres Oquendo Update

My bossman, Mike Marley, is in Chicago set to cover the "big" Nicolay Valuev-
Monte Barrett fight. While there, he also attended a press conference
promoting the Fres Oquendo-Evander Holyfield clash, set for November 10th.

Minutes after the press conference Marley was able to put me on the phone with Oquendo, the man who hopes to end Holyfield's dream of a fifth world
championship. I did a quickie interview before Oquendo was whisked away.

On how training has been to this point:

"Beautiful. Freddie Roach is doing great with my training sessions out in West
Hollywood at the Wild Card Gym.

I'm just happy to be back home in Chicago in
order to do this press conference."

On how much of an inspiration it is to end the quest of Evander Holyfield
becoming five time champion:

"Yes, coming November 10th there will be a new champion and a passing of the
torch and that will be "Fast" Fres Oquendo in spectacular fashion."

On any changes in his training methods he might have made.

"This fight I'm doing a lot of cardio and aerobics so my stamina will be up and I can go to war. I can go 12 rounds, and this fight may be shorter than that.
My cardio, my stamina, my wind, is going to be superior, coming November 10th."

On who he's dedicating the fight to:

"I'd like to dedicate this fight to my dearest mother-in-law, who passed away June 3. It's motivation for me.
I promised her I would take care of her five grandkids and her beautiful daughter."
