Childhood Dreams: To be a professional athlete
when I was real young. In my teens to be a boxing
promoter, I was a big Don King fan.
First job: I had two jobs when I was 14. One was
working for the Seminole Tribe in a concession stand
twice a week selling hot dogs. I loved it! It was at the
old Seminole Village and Rodeo Grounds, where the Hard
Rock sits today. The other was in maintenance, cleaning
up a racquetball and health club after school. It was
called The Bodycenter and owned by Walt Lambert of
Northeast Promotions. He was great to work for. Funny,
my first two bosses and I all ended up in the boxing
business.
Great Sports Moment: Watching Reggie Jackson hit
three homers on three pitches in the World Series.
Watching Ali and Foreman in "The Rumble in the Jungle."

Hearns.
Favorite Meal: I love Cuban and Mexican Food.

Funny Boxing Memory: The first time I met my
first fighter Mitch "Blood" Green. He asked me if I had
at least $5,000 in the bank. When I said yes, he said
OK, you my manager. He also nicknamed me Scotty "The
Body." Mitch always cracks me up [smiles].
Most treasured possession: My family photos. I
hate posing for pictures but love looking at pictures of
my kids at Disney, first day of school, last day of
school, everything they do.
Biggest Sports Thrill: Watching my son Josh win a
gold medal at the World Racquetball Championships and
watching him win a bronze at the Junior Olympics. I am
so proud of him.
People Quality Most admired: A sense of humor. I
love to laugh! |
