I also think Corrales is the stronger at 135, but you can't count Casamayor out."

JE - "As a big fan of Chico Corrales, is it at all possible that we can see him campaign at 140lb or 147lbs in the future?"

GS - "You'll definitely see Corrales at 140 after this."

JE - "Considering the turmoil that went down at the weigh in between Corrales and Castillo back in June, is that a fight that can still be put together in the future, perhaps at 140?"

GS - "No, I don't think so. I don't think Corrales will give Castillo another chance. Castillo cost Diego a lot of money and I don't think Corrales is willing to give him another shot."

JE - "What are your thoughts on Jeff Lacy's current career status and the super middleweight tournament? Do you think Lacy may have some connection to the victor of the 168lb playoffs?"

GS - "I don't know. Jeff Lacy left me and I haven't spoken to him in about a month."

JE - "Can you share with us some thoughts on the super middleweight tournament and do you favor and any particular fighter to emerge the victor?"

GS - "Tony Hanshaw is probably the best out of everybody. I have a lot of respect for Jean Paul Mendy as well. I think Tony's pedigree will make him rise above the rest.

JE - "What can you tell the fans about Chad Dawson's climb at light heavyweight and what kind of things can we expect to see from him in the coming?"
 

I don't see Floyd trying to get in there and trade, he'll stick and move. It'll be more like the Gatti - Mayweather fight."

JE - "Would you be willing to share some information for our readers regarding the situation with you and Bob Arum?"

GS - "I love Bob Arum, Bob Arum just doesn't love me."

JE - "Whoa..."

GS - "We're in this lawsuit because of the Corrales and Castillo situation. It's not personal to me, its just business. With Bob I think it's personal. But I think Bob's a legend in boxing. At the end of the day if a fight makes sense, and it's my fighter versus his fighter then we can do it. If not, he hasn't served the sport of boxing well."

JE - "Mr. Shaw, is it true that you don't particularly care much for Golden Boy and if so may I ask why not?"

GS - "Well because Oscar has fired some shots at me for no reason. Richard Shaffer and I are fine. Richard and I have spoken, in fact we were planning on doing a fight not long ago. With Oscar, I don't know why he's firing shots, but one person once told me that if he's firing shots to accept that as a compliment."

JE - (Laughing)

JE - "What do you think about the bout between Valuev and Barrett?"

GS - "I think it's a circus. I'd like to see Valuev fight someone like Ty Fields. I don't think it's a legitimate fight. I think somebody like a Wladimir Klitschko or David Tua would smash him in one or two rounds."

JE - "Can we have some closing thoughts for the fans and fightnightnews.com?"

GS - "Yes. I am glad to see another boxing site out there that can provide terrific insight and fight coverage. You guys usually have the news first. I think one of the things that seperates you from the rest is the writing of Nat.

JE - "Of course you mean that as a good thing, right?"

GS - "Yes, Nat is a great writer. You know Nat, right?"

JE - "Yeah, I know Nat."

GS - "Right. Nat is a really good writer for the site, and I think that's something that sets you all apart from the rest."

JE - "Mr. Shaw, thank you again for the interview."
